Wow the rules looked great until I saw "No EFI" Man, Bob you just have to learn to deal with it. :(

We allow EFI in out NEMST, the pro 4's will be carb'd for the time being... Once we see how the cars act and run together we will be able to introduce EFI based drivetrains into the mix. The rules are not saying you can't use an EFI based engine just that it must have a carb on it. There are multiple teams looking into running honda 16V powerplants with carbs on them..

Bob after 30 years in the car business and ASE Master tech for 15yrs I wouldn't know where to start on putting a carb on a modern OBD2 Car. Dealing with your
restrictor tube is much easier. This spring we plan to tune our car on a chassis dyno with your restrictor tube. I will forward the dyno runs with or without the tube when we are done. Our tuner is one of best Honda guys in eastern canada and has tuned for teams that have won national road course championships. I'm sure he will able squeeze every hp out of engine with the tube. He is looking forward to the test, it should be fun. :)

Mini stocks are fine if EFI is controlled. We have had 34 events on the NEMST in 4 seasons and only 6 events were won by an EFI car. The only reason we are not allowing EFI from the beginning is because I an unfamiliar with the speed and power of the cars, I can say with a high probability that EFI will be introduced in some form the the NEP4T. We are experimenting with a new EFI Restriction Tube for use with cars that have Variable Valve Timing sytems.
